Required Qualifications and Skills

• Any past exposure in shipping, logistics or trade industry will be preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication with good command of written and spoken English.
• Attention to details, excellent analytical skills with the ability to detect and report inconsistencies
• Positive attitudes with zeal for learning and time management skills.
• Proactive, resourceful and result oriented.
• Team player with strong leadership skills.

Major Roles / Responsibilities

• Understanding the business operations and process of shipments.
• Liaising role in concerned operational units.
• Keeping updated with international shipping practices and market trend and providing input in different departmental planning.
• Analysis on potential new market development and current market analysis.
• Participate in continuous improvement exercises, including work that is heavily analytical, to seek new and changing ways to improve the efficiency of the business.
• Database maintenance, analysis and report preparation.
• Check, sort and forward emails
• Follow-up with external parties/ customers till shipment closed.
• Providing assistance on the execution of after sales shipment.
• Coordinate with overseas parties regularly and timely manner.
• Fulfilling any requirements and meeting goals set out at the start of the traineeship along with providing monthly progress report.
• Other task as assigned by the supervisor.
